With so many browsers to choose from, how do you know which one you should use?
We’ve done thorough testing on various browsers running our software to determine which offers the best performance. Interestingly, we found Internet Explorer to be the slowest (twice as slow as Firefox), with Firefox coming out on top, closely followed by Chrome and then Safari.
So, in order of best to worst, these are our recommendations:
Mozilla Firefox
Chrome
Safari
Internet Explorer
Chrome was just as fast as Firefox, however we found issues with the Chrome browser and it’s caching system, resulting in the occasional display of ‘old’ information. It was also found that Chrome has it’s own built in PDF viewer which causes some issues when viewing certain Adobe PDF files. This can be remedied by disabling the Chrome PDF Viewer in the Options thus allowing Adobe viewer to take over, but we class this as a bug with Chrome as the default reader should always conform to the greatest use (ie: Adobe PDF files).
Safari performed well, however the user interface is less intuitive than the others. Because Firefox can be used on both PC and MAC we recommend installing Firefox on either system to get the most out of your browser.
